EC-6 Generalist
Program Learning Outcomes
- Graduates will design an effective EC-6 lesson plan that incorporates technology.
- Graduates will evaluate relevant research and practices that support and promote effective EC-6 classroom management.
- Graduates will interpret ethical guidelines for EC-12 educators as described in the Code of Ethics and Standard Policies for Texas Educators.
- Graduates will analyze judicial and legislative actions, such as IDEA, that have established rights, opportunities and services for children with disabilities.
- Graduates will evaluate differentiated instruction based on the needs and characteristics of EC-6 learners with special needs.
- Graduates will analyze the culture of schooling in EC-6 classrooms from the perspectives of language, gender, socioeconomic, ethnic, and disability-based academic diversity and equity.
