Immunization Requirements
- Students enrolled in any health‑related course that involves direct patient contact must meet the following immunization requirements.
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR): Two (2) doses or a serology report showing immunity.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (Tdap): One (1) dose within the last ten years.
- Hepatitis B: Complete vaccine series - (2 or 3 dose schedule) or serology report showing immunity.
- Varicella (Chickenpox): Two (2) doses or serology report showing immunity.
- Meningitis (State requirement for students under the age of 22) - One (1) dose within the last five years or a completed two (2) dose series.
- Tuberculosis Testing: Current T.B. test with Negative (-) results (expires yearly). If positive, a chest X-ray is required every two years.
- Influenza: Required annually (August-April).
- COVID-19: Some Clinical sites may require actual documentation of vaccination status or exemption (medical or religious).
- Students are responsible for all costs related to required immunizations. Questions about possible exemptions should be directed to the Clinical Affairs Specialist for Health Science Professions.
- International immunization records are not accepted. All vaccines must be administered and validated by a U.S. medical provider.
