American Sign Language Concentration
Program Learning Outcomes
- The students will be able to demonstrate the appropriate parameters (handshape, orientation, location, movement, and facial expressions) of American Sign Language expressively and receptively.
- Students will be able to analyze reading materials related to Deaf Culture.
- Students will be able to describe characteristics of Deaf Culture.
- The students will be able to demonstrate effective signing skills by presenting ASL Storytelling and Poetry.
- Students will be able to select appropriate vocabulary and communicative strategies in imitating and conducting dialogues.
