This course is the study of human origins and bio-cultural adaptations. Topics may include primatology, genetics, human variation, forensics, health, and ethics in the discipline.

Prerequisite: TSI complete in Reading and Writing, or equivalent.

Introduction to Archeology

This course is the study of the human past through material remains. This course includes a discussion of methods and theories relevant to archeological inquiry. Topics may include the adoption of agriculture, response to environmental change, the emergence of complex societies, and ethics in the discipline.

General Anthropology

This is a study of human beings, their antecedents and related primates and their cultural behavior and institutions. This course introduces the major sub-fields: physical and cultural anthropology, archaeology, linguistics and ethnology. (Crosslisted as HUMA 2323.)

Cultural Anthropology
