This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to discuss and explore topics relating to current issues and trends in the loss prevention field. Topics include, but are not limited to, the relationship between private security professionals and law enforcement, workplace violence, conducting internal/external investigations, interviewing techniques and the role and impact of technology.

This course is a foundation of knowledge necessary in the field of security management. Topics include history of private security, loss prevention, prevention programs, risk assessment, vulnerability assessment, countermeasure selection, and internal and external relations and financial management as related to security/loss prevention.
